To those asking what's the point, I would suggest you re-read the Constitution.

Absolutely. More than once in fact. Along with the Federalist Papers, Declaration of Independence, and all of the ammendments to the the constitution. Among other documents that made America what it is today, and most illegal immigrants have no clue.

Are you implying that many Republicans haven't read the Constitution? Many of the people in the home school movement and the religious rights movements know more about the Constitution than a lot of politicians, and last time I checked, the former were mostly Republicans.

I'll raise my hand half way. I am conservative and I have often voted Republican and supported Republican election campaigns. But I'm not a "Republican" any more because I am not going to vote any more. (Look at my "best answers" and you'll see me explain that more.) And I have read not only the Constitution, but I have also read many, many opinions by the Supreme Court interpretting the document and books by law scholars who have discussed the document.
