I was raised to and believed in God for most of my younger life (over 30 years).
I grew out of by asking questions & researching the issue. God does not exist & the bible is a book of mythology.
Is there anything that could convince you the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus are real?
The Easter Bunny is my chosen God, why won't you believe in and worship her?
BTW, the day that people are supernaturally lifted from their graves is the day that I will no longer be an atheist. I won't deny credible evidence, but "Because I said so" is not evidence.

No. No one can force anyone to believe in God. If an atheist doesn't want to believe, then they never will.
When it comes time that the atheist wants to listen, they don't have to believe - just listen, then at least the door would be open. Before anyone can believe, one must understand first. Without understanding of what God is about, then belief will never grow.
The best thing would be to leave an atheist alone and when they wish to investigate, under no presure, then one can sit and talk.

I didn't believe in God until about 7 years ago when I had gone so far down the scale in my alcohol and drug addiction that I had no other choice but to reach out to Him for help because nothing else worked. I was destitute, bankrupt in so many ways. Had I not reached out for help I would most likely have died like so many others that I know. Yet here I am 7 years later, clean and sober without the compulsion to drink or use.

God ... Just like God did with the doughting Thomas ... but since God all 4 free will ... an atheist may still see, but not accept.
Check this out:
An Atheist and a Bear:
An atheist was taking a walk through the woods, admiring all that evolution had created.
"What majestic trees! What powerful rivers! What beautiful animals!", he said to himself. As he was walking along the river, he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him. When he turned to see what the casue was, he saw a 7-foot grizzly charging right towards him. He ran as fast as he could. He looked over his shoulder and saw that the bear was closing, He ran even faster, crying in fear. He looked over his shoulder again, and the bear was even closer. His heart was pounding and he tried to run even faster. He tripped and fell on the ground. He rolled over to pick himself up, but saw the bear right on top of him, reaching for him with his left paw and raising his right paw to strike him.
At that moment, the Atheist cried out "Oh my God!...." Time stopped. The bear froze. The forest was silent. Even the river stopped moving.
As a bright light shone upon the man, a voice came out of the sky, "You deny my existence for all of these years; teach others I don''t exist; and even credit creation to a cosmic accident. Do you expect me to help you out of this predicament? Am I to count you as a believer?"
The atheist looked directly into the light "It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask You to treat me as Christian now, but perhaps could you make the bear a Christian?" "Very well," said the voice.
The light went out. The river ran again. And the sounds of the forest resumed.
And then the bear dropped his right paw ..... brought both paws together...bowed his head and spoke: "Lord, for this food which I am about to receive, I am truly thankful."

The problem with your question is that the "Atheist" would have already investigated, experienced, or whatever that there was a God to disbelieve in Him.
They were changed FROM a beliver into an Atheist.

I think that there are some who God could come down and hit them in the head with a Bible and they still would not believe and then there are those who I think might believe at that point but would be angry with Him. Not I though I am a Christian.

If there ever came a time where it made actual logical sense to believe that god, or a god existed I would. That has not happened, and there's really no chance of it ever happening.

Evidence that God exists. He could snap his almighty presence into my bedroom, or he could just rearrange the stars to spell out a message to me, actually I'm open to any credible evidence that he exists.
