Sounds to me like your girl may have OCD,
Obsessive Compulsive Dissorder. This is when you do something over and over again. The same thing every day.If you girlfriend will get help from a doctor for OCD then she will stop the hair plucking and the hair WILL grow back but if she doesn't stop she may end up completely bald.Try and get her some help.

hair will grow back, even if she gets the root,
if she gets the root it will just take a little longer
the more she plucks the more chances she will get a bald spot tho
so unless she stops,
i hope you like the shanano conner look

She might want to take some B vitamins (like Pantothenic Acid) or some Cat Nip Capsules even to help with the habit. I don't know if it will grow back - eyebrows grow back when you pluck them, though...
Peace!

Know offense sounds like the girl got problems, issues from her past i don't know what could make some one want to do some thing like like that may be. If she can face her past with the issue it fade away that are she has to much time on her hands. It's something that won't just fade away it's an addiction.

i had a girlfriend a few years ago that did the same thing
she ended up havgin to keep her head shaved so she couldnt do it anymore. the first time i saw her i thougt she was a lesbian because of how her hair made her look, though she was beautiful, she looked like a lesbian. but anyways, i unfortunatley lost contact with her and dont know her current situation with her hair, but shaving her head really helped her because she couldnt grip her hair to pull it out.....and some women actually look good with a shaved head.....hope it helps

There is a condition called trichotillomania, its an obsessive condition in which people repeatedly pull their hair and becomes habit forming. It is relatively common, but it is hard to treat alone and she should see a doctor.
Here is a website that has more information and resources

that's strange, she needs to stop doing that
yes i think it will grow back since it's not due to anything other than the plucking
