No. The trainer at the gym says that older people tend to hold more fat as they get older. I have heard the same from others as well.

no not always...it depends on how healthy you lead your life. But really that doesn't always help. My father was a big man when he was younger...and now he is in his 60's and has had so many health problems and he has lost a LOT of weight because of it...but like I said he was not taking care of his body...as he started having these health problems he ignored them and they got worse...which lead to have to have major surgeries...and through all that he has really gone done hill...eat right, you don't have to over exercise...but some does help...and as you get older and have problems ignoring them will only make matter worse. Because as you get older things will crop up...that's why there's a saying we ain't getting any younger.....very true! and we need to act it from day one, we need to take care of our bodies from day one to be healthy enough for old age to handle it for as long as it can

No sorry dear the reality is if you don't take care of your figure you will gain weight. The older you get your metabolize slows down. It's called aging.

I think its the other way around....You either have to cut down on the amount of food you take in or work up something to exercise more to burn up calories.
