Listen to music on you headphones while laying in the bed to sleep or listen to your ipod which ever you prefer.

I have the same problems a lot. What I do is:
1 get a piece of paper and pencil
2 climb into bed
3 turn off the lights but leave a lamp on
4 Write down a list of three things you like the most about your life
5 Write down three more things that you are most thankful for
6 Close your eyes and think about those things you listed and you will soon fall asleep.

Relax...empty your mind of thoughts and people. Log off Yahoo Answers and get back in bed!

You can't do anything about what's bothering you if you're lying down in bed, can you?

Let your mind rest, you can deal with it all in the morning.
Every day is an opportunity for you to be a better person.
Don't let small things in life stress you out. Seperate the small stuff from the more important stuff.

So, when you wake up in the morning repeat this a few times: "Today is the first day of the rest of my life."

If you have that familiar queezy feeling because of all the stress, right before bed, I suggest meditating in the dark to relaxing music... it helps me on those kinds of nights. If it's exceptionally bad, take a sleeping pill. (only for this night though, those things are addicting if you take them for every little time you have a little trouble falling asleep.

Another trick I heard is to write whatever is on your mind on a piece of paper next to your bed, and add to it as things come to mind so you can forget about them and think about them when you wake up.

Two things.

First, grab a pen and paper and write down everything on your mind--it doesn't take as long as you think.
This gives a lot of relief. Plus, now you know you won't forget any of it.

Second, meditate lying down. If you have never done this just focus all your attention on the middle of your forehead(don't strain). You will mellow out and fall asleep.

Hope that helps

try laying down and relaxing everypart of your body...........the catch is you do it one body part at a time.relax your left leg slowly, then your right leg, then focus on your breathing, then your right arm, left arm, hands, feet, ect. up to your neck and head. when done ou should feel relaxed and at ease but be sure to be thinking about relaxing each bodypart as your doing it, to keep your mind on your body, not outside forces in your life. if too complicated, count sheep.....though i never could get a clear visual of a sheep in my head while attempting sleep,so i dont know if that really works or not......
