The Bible was written over the course of many centuries by many different authors. It is obvious that so many things are exaggerated. Example.....something about Noah putting every male/female animal in an ark? I didn't know that Noah traveled to the Americas or Australia etc etc......And wasn't it found in writing that Judas was not the traitor that the Bible said he was? Am I blind? Should I believe in scientology cuz it's in a book?

Youarenotwill says that animals did not extend that far...what are you talking about? Better take off that blindfold before you walk into traffic and get run over by the popemobile.

First of all, in the Bible it says God brought the animals to Noah.

The book of Judas was not part of the bible because it was not deemed factual

FRIVOLOUS, FRUSTRATING "FACTS"

Noah aside for a moment, there ARE facts in the bible.

The book of Daniel predicted the rise and fall of the kingdoms of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and the Roman Empire. Those are indisputable bits of information written many years before they happened.
Daniel must have gotten info from someone who knew what was going down.
The kingdoms are a matter of history. You can't dispute that.

I agree the Noah thing was a big pill to swallow, but if there is a God so powerful He can create an entire earth full of creatures surely He can make them do whatever He wishes. He could command them to march to the ark, lay down in a pen and hibernate for the whole trip. There are creatures that hibernate for six to eight months. Look at Locusts, some only come every 7 or 14 years.

If you don't feel there is a God, of course the ark is like a fairy tale. If you do believe God created this earth than the ark thing was child's play for Him.

There were biblical writers who wrote they saw visions of locusts with the faces of men. That could very well have been helicopters they saw. They just couldn''t comprehend what they were seeing.
Chariots carrying men with flaming eyes. A car with halogen headlights.

I agree that might be stretching it but where did they get such ideas of things they had never seen in real life?

And now we come to Judas.

I for one have long believed that Judas did not know he was betraying Jesus. He had the misguided notion that Jesus would not let Himself be taken, that He would begin the rebellion that would set Israel free and set up the kingdom the Jewish people were waiting for. Judas is depicted as being impatient, he was tired of waiting for Jesus to set up that kingdom He promised. So, it is possible that Judas thought he was just speeding things up a bit by doing something that would make Jesus get on with the business of creating the kingdom.

It turned out so badly that he is now believed to be a "traitor".
It was a dirty job but someone had to do it.

The Pentateuch The first books of the OLD TESTAMET were first oral traditions that were handed down unchanged from those that wee closer to God or at least during the time that God had more direct dealings with those in the physical world that HE created. The only real question is were the Isrealites the first physicaly created people or was there a simutaionious creation as whn ADAM &EVE were evectied from the GARDEN OF EDEN they met other tribes . IF they were the first people on earth where did these other tribes come from that they met?
That there was more than one world flood is a scientific fact and a certain amount of people were arned by GOD and made boats to save the best living things to repopulate the earth when these floods receded. there is still a debate going on between religion and science as to how old the physical world and the universe is. Not to mention those that say we did not originate on this world but were crash surviors from other planets.
The change in the story of judas from a traitor who sold Jesus out for thirty pieces of silver is a recent rethink of the events that lead up to the crusafixion.Jesus already kne that Judas would be the one to lead the romans to the site of the last supper. So he was only following what Jesus knew was going to happen . just as He said that all of his disciples would deny knowin him aftr his arrest ro save their own lives.

Respectfully , yes you are blind! The people that put there belief in the Bible are the ones who have read and studied it! If you read it and take what it says and then turn on CNN or any news or newspaper you will see it line up exactly! When you try to prove it wrong and go through the history of man kind geography and history, you will see it is flawless! Do your homework, this is more than a book, it is the LIVING WORD OF GOD! And the fact that it was written over thousands of years by 40 different authors and 66 books, you will find it is a integrated message from heaven from your heavenly father, that transcends time and space and tells how this world ends up! Don't miss the boat, or should I say the ARK!

Number one you need to do a bit more in depth studying. In the time of Noah, all the continents were joined together as a single continent. And the bible did not say all the animals created by God were created before the flood, there very well could have been a limited number of animals on earth at the time of Noah. It has not been said Judas did not betray Jesus just that his motives were other than evil, and in addition that transcript has yet to be corroborated by any other piece of evidence. The bible has existed for all time, starting out small then ending with the current number of books we have today. The book of scientology is written with the mind of men not of God.

You should do a little Bible research to find out about the Bible, cause I dont think you know much about its writers, when it was written, or even how. Secondly, Noah had 120 years, and the belief is the animals came to him. And no, there is NO writing wich says Judas was not the betrayer. Yes, Ive read the Gospel of Judas, and it doesnt say that either. Blind, maybe. Believe anything you choose, its called freedom of religion.

Because it is factual. Noah put 7 or 2 of each kind of animal. That doesn't mean 2 of each breed of dog, just 2 dogs.
Judas was the traitor. People have been trying to disprove the bible for a long time. Every time you guys think you find something, it turns out to be wrong.

Because they are complete uneducated, scared little morons. The facts are out there for all to see - but the believers of the bible can't be bothered doing any research on the truth. They (laughingly) say it is the non-believers who do no research, again they have this way wrong. I mean, really, look it it clearly. 3000 years before jesus was "supposedly" born there was a man - born of a virgin, was the son of a tradesman, went on a mini crusade for a couple of years around the age of 30, had 12 followers, performed miracles, and was finally crucified. Hey then guess what - 3 days he was resurrected and rose into heaven. ****3000 years BEFORE jesus. And this is not the only legend like that. There are many.

first of all back then, they even knew about every continent since no one explored until about say 600 years later or so, so that agruement cant be used. I do agree it's a bit exaggerated, but its a STORY. Do you actually believe a turtle can beat a rabbit in a leg race? Of course not. But there's a lesson to be learned. If people did less antagonizing and more listening to the Bible's words they would understand those lessons. Of course you dont have to believe them, but that's your choice.

I think its because people see the Bible as a scapegoat and don't want to accept the new works of those who have come to explore the world from the beginning. As long as the debate about how the earth was created, the debate about why people find the Bible to be the truth will always be around.

The book of Judas was supposed to be written by Judas after he died, so I wouldn't put much faith in it!
The animals came to Moses he didn't go out searching for them all. I believe God caused them to be where they go enter the ark!
