Go to File menu and then choose "Save Page as". But before saving the files, open the dropdown list and choose ".mht" format for saving the file. This format allows you to keep all the items on a page in a single document, which far more convenient than standard saving.

Note that this only applies to Internet Explorer.

Mozilla Firefox does not support mht format and you need to install "Mozilla Archive Format" extension for cross-platform compatibility of mht files. However, this shouldn't be a big problem as IE is more common.

There are software packages that do this for you. Keep in mind that some website will block these type of applications for obvious reasons.

Depending on the site you're copying, your activity will stand out on server logs like a sore thumb. Many admins go through their logs and look for this type of activity to see if people have scraped content to put on other sites. They also frown upon this activity since it can consume lots of bandwidth.

If you just want something for reference, see if the Wayback machine has the site you're talking about and use them. I've found them to be great when I need to see how a site looked.
