Garlic Breadsticks
1 tablespoon dry yeast
1 tablespoon honey
1 1/2 cups warm water (100° to 110°)
1 teaspoon salt
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
Cooking spray
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Preheat oven to 425°.
Dissolve yeast and honey in water in a large bowl; let stand 5 minutes. Stir in salt and egg, stirring with a whisk. Lightly spoon flours into dry measuring cups; level with a knife. Stir flour into water mixture, stirring until a stiff dough forms. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes). Shape dough into a log; divide log into 24 equal portions. Working with one portion at a time (cover remaining dough to prevent drying), gently roll each portion into a 6-inch rope. Place ropes on baking sheets coated with cooking spray.
Combine salt, garlic powder, basil, and oregano in a small bowl. Spray ropes lightly with cooking spray; sprinkle with garlic mixture. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes or until golden.
Yield: 24 servings (serving size: 1 breadstick)

easy garlic bread:
buy some good crusty bread, (like a french baguette or even sub-sandwich rolls) cut it long ways, spread soft butter over it and sprinkle it generously with garlic powder and Italian seasoning, and lightly with salt and pepper (to taste really). Toast it in the oven at 350 degrees until its the desired brownness (2 - 5 minutes for light, longer for darker/crunchier). Good with shredded Mozzarella cheese sprinkled on top as well and toasted to golden brown. One of my favorites :}
have fun! I'm sure you'll get more recipes...

Take a nice thick slice of bread, layer it with butter and shake garlic powder all over it. Put it in the oven and toast it on broil. If you like, you can also sprinkle some parmesan cheese over the top. Enjoy!

HI! You might want to try to make the butter spread first. You'll need a block of butter or margarine (if you like), add 2 tbsp minced fresh garlic (u can substitute it with garlic salt, but i like the fresh ones better), add 2 tbsp finely chopped parsley or any herb you like (celery or rosemary). Mix and you're ready to use it.
Find yourself a crusty bread and spread it sparingly before toasting it..
Enjoy it honey
