Too much soy can affect your hormones which could result in thyroid troubles. I was a vegan/vegetarian and drank soy milk and a lot of soy products. When I got hyperthyroid I had a 1 in 4 chance of the medication working as my thyroid was really bad. Soy milk was the only thing I cut out of my diet as I was warned to avoid it at all costs and at the end of the year, much to my doctor's suprise..I went into remission. So yeah to much not good for female hormones.

I have problems with cows milk..so I use oat milk instead. Give that a try. Don't try rice milk..that taste awful.

I consume soy butter, soy cheese slices and shredded, etc. My physique is rediculously gentle to each thing I put in it (basically approximately 5%-10% of the food market won't make me go through). i'm no longer a vegan, yet i'm a singer so I had to diminish out dairy numerous years in the past. the sole difficulty i've got ever had with soymilk, is the sugar content textile. Soy yogurt to boot (I used to love that stuff), yet I appeared on the climate and observed corn syrup. = ( as a strategies via fact the soy cheese and soy butter flow... no sugar, no difficulty. "The Low Blood Sugar instruction manual" by utilising Edward & Patricia Krimmel, and "Hypoglycemia: The classic Healthcare instruction manual" by utilising Jeraldine Sanders have been incredibly efficient. appreciate the soy! ; )

I'd suggest almond milk to you. I like it's taste better than soy and it contains many natural nutrients so it isn't as "enriched" as other milks. I'm able to buy it at the regular grocery store where I live, but you could also make it from scratch at home (tastes even better). You might want to look into the "raw food" diet books that are out there, I picked up lots of good vegetarian meal ideas from taking their recipes and modifying a bit to suit my diet.

Well beans and eggs contain protein too. Gosh, I didn't know soybeans could do any harm...so many people recommend them. Perhaps you would have to check with the doctor about other kinds of beans. Cow milk should be good but you might want to check with your doctor too. Good luck.

Beans/lentils are great sources. Have you tried the Quorn products? They are a meat replacement without soy and fantastic. Also eat cheese (animal rennet free if you are vegetarian).

Read

for all the details on the health problems caused by soy. Soy is only safe for you if it has been fermented (Miso for example).

Beyond that it will affect your thyroid, it has been linked to cancer, and contains way to many phytoestrogens.
