I think if we want to stop terrorism we need to stop inflicting terror. Yes the US inflicts terror. I know half a dozen hushes and how anti American comments must be flying by now. But it’s true. There is no other country that could walk in and decide to change a country. If someone decided democracy was a bad idea, and that the people were not benefiting from it. What do you suppose would happen if the roles of Iraq were reversed and played off in America? I just think we need to take a step back and really exam what is going on. You don’t remove a leader of a country. Who has this right??? Who said it was ok for the US to rule the world? It’s a fine line between helping people, and harming people. And I don’t think that one country should try to reign supreme over all others. I think it’s a drastic mistake. In regards to the peace in the middle east, the only way that will ever be achieved is if someone finally backs down and says enough is enough. Because, right now we have a vicious circle playing, one that unfortunately has played out longer than we have lived on this earth. And when children grow up around war it's what they come to accept as life. One must seek revenge for that which they have lost, and over there all have lost much. So I honestly don't see peace in the near future. I think peace is a dream not a reality.

The cause of Islamist terrorism is quite simple. A number of followers if Islam feel a need to kill all infidels in order to achieve the founding of the Great Caliphate which will stretch from Spain to Bali and beyond. In order to achieve this Israel and the United States must be destroyed.
Your premise is entirely wrong. You are "sure no body wanna war". I am quite certain that a whole bunch of Islamists want a war. The President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmedinijad is fervently striving to develop nuclear weapons to foment a war that he feels is necessary to bring back the 12th Imam from the well he fell into in 947 AD.
Not everyone thinks like you. Some people would kill you because you do not believe in God the way they believe in God. This is an ugly but indisputable fact. If given half a chance, they will kill you and scream Allah U Akbar (God is Great) during the entire performance.
If you don't believe me ask Nick Berg. Oops. I forgot the Islamists hacked off his head while screaming Allah U Akbar. They even captured it on video tape. You might have seen it on the internet. Most of the Islamic world saw it on their local TV stations.
I do not care why they are angry. I only care that they intend to kill me. I can then take the appropriate safety measures.

Yes I agree. Everyone, especially the Arab and Israelis leaders have to sit down and discuss how best to achieve peace. Everyone must agree that there will be peace, not just the political leaders. The common people, religious leaders and militant leaders on both sides must agree. There must be honesty in this or the whole exercise is just a waste of time.
But the problem is :Are they using the current ceasefire to plan a new strategy ?

The cause of terror is religious fundamentalism based in Islam and their desire to convert the entire world to their beliefs. The differences between the west and their culture and how we seemingly flaunt our freedom in their face. Sure, the US has some issues, but come on, you see us only going after innocent people, if we do go into a country, we hit their military, not joe and jane smith going to the market. Give me a break.

umm, just what was it that you were trying to say/ask? it didn't make a whole lot of sense as you never really got around to making a point about what the "cause" is. to me the cause is radical muslim extremists that think it's ok every time someone snubs them in some way that they can call for a jihad and start killing everyone they can even though their own religion tells them it's not right.

Terrorism usually appears when there is an injustice that is not corrected by people who have the power to do so.

The terrorists attacked us for an age old reason. We don't believe the way they do. We promote freedom, the freedom to dress as we like, to worship as we like, and yes, to live as we like. There are other reasons, but you asked for the root reason. There it is.
