The similarities might be, they have similar history about moses, joseph, noah, abraham and others as prophets. But they have different source of books for teaching like bible, qoran and taurah so they may have the same god, and root of teaching but delivered at different time by different people (such as jesus for christian, moses for jew and mohammad for islam). In reality, it has more to do with where you are born than anything else? What ever view you have now, it would have been something else if you had been born in India, Pakistan, or Turkey for that matter.
