But I agree with you that no one should criticize a Muslim Lady who covers herself in obediance to God and her faith.

Both Islam and Christianity are religions that originated in the same area of the Globe, To me it seems logical that some of the costums of that area got mixed into the religion.
In the old days - medival days - up to quite recently everybody wore something on their heads when they went outside. Nuns are really just dressed in oldfashioned clothes. Today many (most) nuns and munks go about their buisness in quite ordinary everyday clothes. Just like priests do.
Our world has moved a long way since the days where it was common practice to wear a hat or scarf on your head, and with women being selfsustaining and independent we choose to dress however we please instead of following old traditions. So I think that people object to the muslim covering because they feel that it is a symbol of suppression of women.
Since you are asking directly about sexappeal I must admit that I have always wondered about the muslim lady clothes - muslims tell me that their women dress that way to be respectable and not entice (lure) men, in my country we have actually had rapecases where the muslim offender argued that since the woman (muslim or not) was not covered he was within his right... but I just feel that men should be able to control themselves, no matter what the woman wears - so insisting on covering up the woman is just a way of saying that the men around her lack all selfcontrol

Not all nuns wear the old style habit "like a muslim lady." The ones that do dress that way, they do it because of tradition. The traditional nun's habit is like the clothing worn by married women in Europe during the Middle Ages. Traditional muslim women's dress is from the same era in history. Christian women who become nuns do it because they feel God has called them to celibacy to serve Him more single-mindedly. Celibacy in this case is a spritual discipline aimed at a closer life with God. Marriage is just as holy, but it is different. In the Western Christian tradition, married women do not wear medieval style clothing. And as I said, most nuns don't either, anymore.
Actually, I have known some people to criticize nuns for dressing in a manner so different from everybody else. People are entitled to their opinions!
The reason that people object to traditional muslim women's clothing is that it seems to be enforced by societal and, specifically, male authority. Nuns who wear the traditional habit have chosen to do so; they could have chosen not to. It is their right. Muslim women, by the same reasoning, have the right to dress as they please.

Well as a religious person, a nun covers herself to eliminate any images portrayed as sexual, or revealing. So in that case, it just outlines the nun being a religious woman.
The Muslim lady's do that, however, its not JUST the religious females in islam, really all proper muslim lady's should wear their scarves and all. To your answer, i dont really know why muslim ladies are given a bad image because of their clothing however not the same for Nuns. It seems like there is alot of corruption existing nowadays than it did 20-50 years back. Especially in religion.

Muslim women do not get criticized for this. Muslim men do for bullying them and making laws that make them dress a certain way. Nuns dress this way out of choice. If Muslim women chose to dress that way..GREAT...But, they do not do it out of choice, because they are never given one. It is the oppression of women that is criticized, not their beliefs.

Same basic reason. All the Orthodox do this, just like Muslim Men, Orthodox Christian Men, Orthodox Jews and Amish Men all wear beards.
It's an Orthodox tradition dating back BEFORE Jesus!

These women decide to come out of the world and devote themselves to God.They pray and help others in many ways (mother Theresa )
They dress in a "HABIT" to distinguish themselves from the other women in the world and to allign themselves with women who like them selves have chosen this way of life...
Nuns dress that out of choice .they seperate themselves by choice......
It is my understanding and the understanding of many readers on this site ,that Muslem , Moslem women DO NOT have a choice in this matter. That the men in your religion require that a head covering be worn. And yes ,respectfully, it is your religion and cultural custom to do so ..so , I would argue , again respectfully, that a Nun chooses the Habit , and the Moslem /Muslem woman generaly has no choice............

It's in the Bible about how women are supposed to dress when they are in church.
But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. 1 Corinthians 11:5-10
As to why they keep their heads covered outside of church I would guess that it's another one of those cases where the Catholic church has added to the Bible with their man made traditions. :o(

I don't object to Muslim women or their dress. It's fine with me, and I don't know anyone that does object to their dress.

Let's try to spell out our words properly next time, shall we? To answer your question though, religion is a crock and no matter which one it is, it is hypocritical and two standard, ALL OF THEM!
