Are you asking if a guy can have a friend who is female. The answer is yes. But if you are asking if I guy can have a girl friend that has no sexual contact, then I would say that would be no.

There will be a period of time that will pass when the unapproachable girl friend becomes just a friend and the guy will move on to someone else for sexual contact. The relationship should mature and grow or it will stagnate. I'm not saying you should have sex before marriage, I am saying that if a guy wants sex in his future and the girl friend say, ain't no way, then his choices are limited. He can have no sex. He can still date and have sex with someone else, setting up a habit of cheating on her, or he can date someone else that has a better chance of meeting his needs.

Actually, yes.

Practically? Depends upon the guy.

We're culturally condition and to some extent, biologically conditioned, to equate masculinity with sex. Biologically, we're supposed to "spread our seed" to increase the genetic likeliehood of spreading our genes... at a biological level, we don't have a 9 month down time like women. So as far as genetics is concerned, why should we "save" ourselves when we can spread our seed even more?

Hoever, modern man has control over his urges, but culturally, we look the other way when a man cheats.

Personally, I've come to terms with it and have even gone an astonishing 9 years without sex when I didn't find anyone I was comfortable enough with.

It's really a question of how much the guy respects you and himself. If he wants sex, he can find it. If he wants sex with a specific person, he may have to wait and woo her. The decision is the guys, not his culture or biology.

Most men/boys would not, but probably not even women/girls either, since people are lewd beasts. As for me, I'm a living proof of a guy willing to forsake sex, & so I have done for soon to be 27 years. My woman & I are going to wait till we feel it's right, no matter how many years it will take. Love is spiritual, lust is fleshbound, hence lust will fade, unlike love. Hail purity!

Definately not most guys. But I'm almost certain I could have this type of relationship with a select few girls as long as we still got to kiss and cuddle enough.

only if the couple took vows not to have sex until marriage. If he and she are truely in love, they both can hold out until marriage.
