I act now to stop war and end racism.
I believe the much talked about race in racism is a race towards Armageddon run by communities of faithful believers motivated by conservative ideological traditions to out work, out fight and out number the rest of the world. I believe the much talked about clash of cultures between Islam and Christianity reflects an on going conflict to determine whose holy book best expresses the will of God as well as a fight between motivated communities of faithful believers over increasingly scarce natural resources of our body consuming biosphere of limited dimensions.
What do I do to solve problems such as these?
I offer a love of homotolerant, agnostic, positivistic, nationalistic spiritization of self and world as an alternative to Abramic religions that some use to teach children to be racist, heterofascist, warmongers.

I agree that it's time to put an end racism...but I don't know what can be done other than leading by example. There are so many things wrong with society in general but most of the issues seem to be tied into intolerance of those who look different, act differently, or believe differently. I'd like to see this all stop before I die (unfortunately the end doesn't seem near). I don't have the resources right now to donate to helpful charities, but do my best to promote tolerance as an individual.
On the bright side, America has come a long way in stopping racial intolerance in the relative short time since slavery/segregation was legal and it does seem like each generation is more tolerant than the last.
So, you said that white people don't want to get personally involved (on a side note, I think your statement that white people don't want to get involved only adds to the barrier between races because it is another generalization based on skin color), what is your idea of being personally involved...is it something more than just speaking out against intolerance? I really would like to help make this country and world a better place...send me a message to let me know what you think I should do to make this possible.

I think it might be wise to not try to bring attention to ones self. By that, I mean the way we dress, talk, congregate. A great start would be family values and that goes for all races. Mom and dad married, living in the same home, working a full time, respectable jobs, good moral values .Caring about home, the way it looks, conduct in public and in the home should be strived for too. Segregation in schools-anywhere, is no good. We need to learn to live together. Just because someone has a different skin color doesn't mean they should expect special treatment Hopefully, the skin color wouldn't matter. It's the person, what they do, what they can offer, how hard they do or don't try, their conduct, etc. that counts. No "free ride" make "your own" well being and lot in life. A person reaps what thew sow.

THANK YOU FOR ASKING THIS QUESTION....I would stop seperating the two period.
Until we as a people come together and see each other through the eyes of a child, with no color.......it will remain the same.
The problems lie on both sides of the fence.
If we would all just realize we are all people and all Gods children and not have anything to prove this would make a big difference. As soon as we one and all stop making color an issue.
My daughter studied Dr Martin Luther king in school, she had to do a full essay on him...I must say I really enjoyed it because I spent alot of time helping her, and I read and read and read his works..........and let me just say my dearest friend, I do not believe the Doc would be too pleased with either race if he could look down and see us. He was looking for true peace between the races.

I have no answer as I do not see anyone being discriminated on based on their race. I do feel that if this is going on it is wrong. I do know some people feel that way. I work with many different races and all are paid the same and given the same work. There are many interracial couples and children. They attend school, have the same chances, and receive the same education and treatment. Children today are more accepting than ever before. My sons have friends of different races and to them it is no more a difference than eye color or hair color. I attend a Parish Church that has many different races as well. I do not personally see any discrimination but if it exists it should end.

African Americans have been united with whites for a hundred years by education, the whites and African Americans that have been segregated and oppressed is a product of the lack of education, the whites and African Americans that are educated and are still oppressed and segregated is the product of being governed and controlled by a republic, you have to actively educate and vote democratic

Well I think they have been improving dramatically. Of course i am white and have never worn the other shoes.
The older generations had fear of different people and a lot of ignorance. This and the next generation will treat the other races even better.
A very small percentage of people actually want to hate anybody. The farther the dim past gets away from us, the better it will be.

I think we need to forget the term "race" alltogether...We call ourselves white and black...how can we ever get real with eachother if we have already inflicted these polarizing terms on ourselves? When I am asked what race I am, I leave it blank, because I see myself as a human, and not a sub group of human. I'm not saying forget your roots, but when I see people, I think of them as people, not sub groups of whatever country or continent that their ancestors came from.

There should be something poured into our water supply that would make us all the same color. I suggest pretty purple.
But seriously, there's no point in finding a solution to the hate. Once racism is over, another prejudice just as bad will come up. People feel the need to hate something.

My input applies to this and many other issues as well.
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi
I believe that there are few in history more qualified than Gandhi to speak of change, in any situation.
I believe that if I want peace, I must be peace. If I want tolerance, I must be tolerance. I must start with myself and not count on anyone else externally from myself to solve the problems I perceive in my home, my neighbourhood, my city, my country or my world.
