Not gracing it with a response was probably best.

It is just paper, and it sounds like he was just baiting you anyhow.

The paper in a bible is very thin and has a very hard finish, it is not worth trying to use it for asswipe. It is even worse than newspaper.

I know this from experience

whether he did it or not i don't know, that i guess is between he and God. But his behavior indicates someone trying to raise a response from you. I believe the more a person is objecting to God, the more that that person is crying out (in a tantrum sort of way) for the peace of God. i believe they are full of pain in the outward form of anger. i believe that they really want to KNOW that God LOVES them. i say keep praying for him but it is ok to speak the Truth. He may not like what you have to say. But like the children in the street say ...If you can dish it out, you better be able to take it.
P.S. Don't fight. Please. There's already too much violence in the world.

Well, it's a very disturbing story, but praying for him is the way to go, that and avoiding him for awhile. (Like until he grows up, mentally.)
He must have misunderstood who you are, and thought his statement was something you'd agree with.
Some people hate what the bible represents.

You can't pray for forgiveness for someone, they have to do that themselves. You can pray that he will see the error of his ways, however. And what would it do to YOUR witness if you went out and kicked his back side? Think about that one.

I very very very seriously doubt anyone really means anything when they say things like that. So, just ignore the stupid comments, which are just meant to get you riled up, forgive him, then walk away.

He did what he had to do, and I would have done the same, and given that the bible is a book of fairy tails, nightmares, and hallucinations, then it shouldn't bother you.

lol. so you want to resort to violence? That's smart. dude. it's just a book. it makes good emergency toilet paper.

one myth is that bible paper is good to role blunts with (big fat joints) but this is not true.

Nah. He's an *** in more ways than one. I would say he was trying to get your goat and succeeded very well.
