Asking questions is a good start. The first thing out of your mouth probably should be "Hi! What's your name?" From there, talk about whatever is most convenient at the moment. If you can crack some clean jokes during the conversation, by all means do it. There's no need to give a speech. If the person you're talking to is interested in you and has any sense, they will try to make it easier for you. But do not assume that because it is easy to talk to someone that they must therefore like you. Some people are just easy to talk to like that. Good luck!

You need to talk to classmate/teacher more often, so you can control the conversation better. If you dont knot what to talk, you need to make a list of questions before start the conversation:

-How is traffic today?
-It is nice outside, I like the hot of summer.
-Did you watch news this morning? Dell battery can cause fire to your laptop. Some houses were burned out because of this too.
-Mt Rainier is beautiful with wildflowers, I am going to hiking this weekend. Have you ever gone hiking?
-Have you seen new music video of Madona?

Just list the whole bunch of questions in your head, and you will be able to keep conversation very easily.

Cater to the situation. If you're at a restaurant, maybe ask if they can reccomend anything. If a party, maybe talk about how you know the host or the music playing, the food being served, whatever. Just look around and find something to talk about, even if it's about the table or something.

What is your name. Have'nt we met before. Well maybe it was someone who was almost as beautiful(handsome) as you are. Want to go have a cup of coffee and on and on and on.....Easy.

You have gotten over the hardest part when you told her your name.

I say a big word that sounds smart, like "algonquin," or "penultimate", which, to me, sounds like the name of a wrestler. People go "wow!"
