I heard this once before and I would like your opinions:

"That which is of God is light; and he that receiveth light, and continueth in God, receiveth more light and that light groweth brighter and brighter until the perfect day"

Well, I would say that it means that if you accept God, you will recieve His "light" (love, guidance, protection, etc.) and if you continue to live your life in His "light", as he wants for you to, then you will grow in His love and His blessings. The perfect day is obviously Judgement Day or the day He calls His followers home.

my light comes from a 60 watt - it did get brighter when I changed to the new light bulbs that illuminate like natural light

Yeah, that is a good metaphor for God and his love, and the love that will grow in you as you become closer to him before we leave this earth.

Light is truth and knowledge... the more you get the more you can understand until at last you will understand everything.
