I am going to petition for the Premier to stop funding of the sexist mosks until the men of the mosks grow up and let the women sit in the front while the ugly men go in the back where they belong!

We Muslim women are not forced to sit separately from the men. It is done willingly out of respect for the opposite gender. These are our morals and values.
Even an extremely decent guy gets attracted to women because it is something natural. Hence, while we are in the mosque, we can not pray without ablution (before prayers one must me mentally and physically clean and pure. This is called ablution). Our ablution breaks if we see, hear, or read something which can make our mind wander or even touch something. This again has nothing to do with the religion or the mindset of the people of the community but that is human nature. So if you happen to see a girl/ lady that may attract your attention and vice versa, you will have to repeat your ablution.
And muslim women are treated as equally as any other man. Any man trying to rule over a woman is not considered a muslim. Do not confuse culture with religion. They are two different things.

Because in the middle east women are second class citizens. Why do you think they wear those burkas?? It supposedly keeps men from wanting and lusting for them. However they are making some strides to make women more equal. Lets hope it continues.

hmm.. im not trying to judge anyone or their beliefs, and i can understand praying seperately but, why is it so important for women to be covered so, yet centuries back you will find harems and belly dancing is some of the most muslim countries of the world in fact the art of belly dancing was started in the middle east purely to seduct and entertain the men

christianity also treats women like second class citizens (amongst others). It wasn't until recently that the women's liberation movement brought forth change and gave women a voice. If christians still had it their way, women would still be nothing more than baby making, food preparing, house clearning machines and there would be water fountains for christians and heathens.

i am a muslim woman. we are not treated like 2nd class citizens!!! we are not excluded either. we sit separately in order to avoid impure and lustful thoughts in our place of worship. considering that when we pray we are bent over, if any man (muslim or not) were to look at a woman in such a potentially compromising position his thoughts are apt to wander. the mosques are places of worship and should be free of sinful activities and thoughts. how can you pray witha pure and clean heart if you are in a state of lust? the women do not want the men to look at them either. therefore, we do not sit together. we are not "forced to sit in the back" as you choose to word it.

You answered your own question - men are idiots. See we are easily distracted, so I guess they separated, years ago, to reduce the distraction. (It was over 1000 yrs ago?)
Also being distractions come easily to some women, as they wear perfume or the wrong clothes to church, to pray seriously. Looking for something after prayer? LOL - don't get mad. Women are idiots, too
Cover up a little, please. Ha. This is where women get their bad reps, probably. Women love to gossip about who's seeing who so they say.
Hate the player - at church, HA!
Humans are idiots. (correction to your last line)

Islam is a religion of legalistic rules and regulations,
Islam is not about having a personal relationship with God!
They have some really whacked ideas to oppress women !
See here;
http://www.fatwa-online.com/fataawa/marriage/sexualrelations/sre003/0060724.htm
=============================================================
The deceiving rationalizations from this primitive culture of religion, that comes out of the dark ages, bewitches even the very women that are being oppressed by it.
Just look at the answer below!
...............................................................................................
And what about the men?
Don't the women get attracted or affected by their men when they see them?
I think maybe their men should wear bags over their heads!

i think u do not know that in Islam woman is not allowed to show herself to unknown, stranger men. in homes n families women can stand with their husband, father, son or father in law for prayers. but outside in gathering of so many unknows men, we do not stand along with them. its kind of respect that we get in mosques that we get a separate place, a place of our own. equal to other men why u ppl have so hypocritic minds?
