No! I think men are way more comfy naked. They can already walk around without their shirt on and get away with it.

My answer would have been no up until a couple months ago when I read an article in the paper that said that yes, women are more likely to be comfortable in the nude. More women admitted to walking around the house or answering the phone unclothed.

A recent book was published by a woman who was doing research on how comfortable women felt with their bodies. She spent a lot of time in health clubs quietly observing. She said that women would usually give side-long glances to check out the woman next to her for comparison. There were several different ways women would dress--go to a private dressing room, if they felt good about their bodies (usually the young & fit) would just drop their towels and dress, and then others who would basically try to hide in their locker while putting on their bras, etc. There was an interesting chapter on women using a sauna and how comfortable or not they felt with all the other naked or near-naked ladies. Sorry I don't have the book with me--I loaned it to a friend.

Since I've never been in a men's locker room when there were guys undressing or dressing, I can't say about their habits or attitudes. It does seem that one's personal sense of modesty comes into play rather than a generalization.

I'm not so sure about that. I would think that women are more self-conscious, since men are so visually oriented. In general, maybe men aren't comfortable being naked in front of other men, but they don't seem to have a problem strutting their stuff in front of women. I would think that most women would be a lot more aware of their appearance than most men.

I don't think that can be generalized by gender - in fact more men are I would think if you were to look at it by gender. (men always want the lights on and sooo many women want them off cause they are shy about their bodies) I think it depends on the person's confidence - totally.

So no I don't agree with that - it depends - men that are "smaller" tend to be more shy about being naked. Women who are heavier tend to be less comfortable. But that can vary too - it is all in how one feels about their body.

More comfortable around other naked women than men around other naked men.

No. In my experience men are much more comfortable being naked - no matter what they look like or how much they weigh. The overweight guys seem to be the quickest to shed their clothes!

Well it has been said that women are more beautiful naked than men. But lets not confuse all women with those who may tend to be a tad bit more slutty. Excuse that harsh word but its true. Guys are always thinking negative. They may not be happy about their, you know, so they dont jump at opportunites to expose themselves. Well, I really don't know. I wouldnt know much about this subject.

I think it's pretty even. I go to the nude beach alot and there are lots of girls and guys there...pretty evenly matched, actually. I'm a girl and I love being naked around others, but there are friends of mine (both guys and girls) who are either too shy to get into it or feel it's inappropriate to show so much skin. I don't agree with them, but that's their choice.

No way. Women are more worried about it. That's why more guys pay to see naked women than women pay to see naked men.
