Food allergies, or allergies of any kind, can happen at any time and last for the rest of your life. My mom used to tell me that my body would completely change every seven years; well that leaves it open to a whole new set of circumstances if that is true for everybody. You always need to stay on the alert for new allergies especially if you are introducing new substances into your body, like maybe you never tried shrimp until one day and all of a sudden it bothered you. Or peanuts, or wheat gluten (all of a sudden), or your neighbor's cats when you never had cats around you before. Lots of changes in your life can result in a new allergy. Be on the watch and try and discover what was the new allegerian that did it to you.

Yes. My non-scientific understanding is that you have the allergies all along, but your system is able to cope for a while. It's why when you move to a new place you think you have no allergies for a number of years before you start reacting.

I would say yes. My 7 year old son started getting sick every time he ate fish about a year ago. He had eaten it plenty of times before. He just started this out of the blue.

yes... allergies are dependent on the way your body react to certain allergens.. studies shows that people on stress can develop allergies to certain items that they are immune from the start..

yep, when there is too much abuse in our system, the brain alters the way how we function. the adaptive changes causes our nerves to change. for example in milk, our gastrointestinal tract could be altered if we have high gluten intake therefore haveing sensitivity to lactose.
