I've had small amounts of tequila before, but I've never been drunk strictly off it. Does the agave plant actually change the way you feel as opposed to drinking something else of 80-proof caliber?

Tequila is definitely a different type of alcohol than any other type I have ever experienced, and I've experienced most all of them in my 64 years. I will not drink Tequila ever again. I have had it on two different occasions and almost blacked out both times with only a small amount taken, like two drinks. I would definitely suggest you stay away from it if you have to go to work the next day. My wife tried it once and really believed that she would never be able to walk again. She did though eventually.

No. There is absolutely nothing different between getting drunk off tequila or any other alcohol. Why some people say it makes them crazy is because of the placebo effect. They expect to feel crazy, so they act that way without realizing they're the reason for it, not the alcohol. Ethanol is ethanol, and no matter what type of drink it comes from it will produce the same feeling.

I think all different liquors give a different buzz. For instance; just a couple of shots of whiskey will get me drunk but I can drink rum all night and not feel a thing, gin will hit me like a ton of bricks after about three or four!

It is a high which is quite nice... this is cosed by the specific alcohols that are in tequila.

yes, i get mean with tequila. very aggresive. vodka and rum are more mellow and happy.
