I dated a man for a couple years who was a 30 year old virgin. He was a nice, normal guy...the reasons he hadn't slept with anyone weren't incredibly clear. He's Catholic, so that might have had something to do with it, but he made it clear he wasn't waiting for marriage or anything. So we started what was a serious relationship and slept together. But he didn't like sex! He felt "gross and dirty" and said he "preferred cuddling." ???He didn't have any sense of sex being about intimacy or mutuality in any way. And he ignored my awkward attempts to "teach" him to think of me too. He ended up leaving me for a friend of mine. Anyway, what's the deal? Are there some people who just don't like sex, or do I have to own up to the fact that he probably just didn't like it with me? :)

it's not you at all.something in his past eradicated all intimacy feelings he may have had before they even developed.perhapes it was his partental teachings, maybe he was abused.who knows.just be confident in the fact that it had nothing to do with you.

The fact that he said he felt "gross and dirty" tells me that he was influenced to believe that by adults in his childhood. Also he may have been sexually abused as a child. My EX-wife was kinda like him because she could go months without any intimacy. When it happened it seemed great and she seemed to enjoy it, but I always wondered how she could go so long without it. We were both young and healthy so there was really no excuse. When I would ask her about it she really didn't give a straight answer. So I think people just have different levels of sex drive than others.

It sounds to me that he is being stupid. Maybe hes gay or probably he is the type of person who doesnt see the point of having sex, maybe sex doesnt satisfies him.

Sounds to me he is not very sexually developed as a person. Either that or he cold a fish or as you say, he is not sexually attracted to you.
