Acceptance????? All that means is that others/the group are holding you to their values, not yours! And since they have no appreciation for you unless you meet their values, they don't care squat about YOU! For get ACCEPTANCE!
Here is the Armor Tank that others/Acceptance cannot touch, cannot destroy.
Your Armor Tank: Integrity, Virtue, Morality and Responsibility.
Clothed in those characteristics, you do not need approval, you become approval.
Hold your head up, look everyone straight into the eye.
Cut your self a huge breach of Mistletoe and hang it on the back of your pants/Skirt!
To those who would wave their requirement of Acceptance, tell them it is Christmas, and to please note where the Mistletoe is!

Yes, I think so.
"That which you resist, persists".
Don't forget that accepting something does not necessarily mean that you agree with it. Just because you accept that it exists and/or is happening, does not mean submission.
Serenity is how you feel about life, not your opinion about life. Serene people can be at peace with something that they disagree with. Does that make any sense?
