He probably started off just seeing you, then hooked up with another girl, and then left you for her. It's okay though, karma will get him.

Well it really depends. If the guy was seeing this person who he's now being seen with on the side while he was still in a relationship then it's quite normal. Remember not everything is as it seems.
You and everyone else might think he has only started seeing this person a week after he broke off his last relationship.

Two possibilities: the relationship was dead for a while, so the rebound was quick once he felt he could date OR he was leaving for the girl.
