Well, basically it does affect how much weigt you will lose.

Firstly, in the day, you are exposed to heat, which at the same time opens up your skin pores to release sweat. These sweat also contains some fats from your body. In the night, there is not enough heat, so the chances of your skin pores opening up is minimal.

Secondly, in the night, plants take in oxygen for photosynthesis. Thus, when you exercise at night, you may get breathless easily as some of the oxygen are taken up by the plants. People keep on asking, in the day, other people also breathe in oxyen, aren't we sharing with them? Of course we are sharing, but in the day, plants release oxygen, thus it is enough for us.

Furthermore, the kind of exercise that you do. Different exercise will lead to different weight loss. There are also some, that don't release fats from your body but instead turning the fats in muscles. So, you should find out which type of exercise you want. Most women thought that all exercise are the same, but in the end, they gain more weight than the past because their fats had turned in muscles which is heavier.

Thus, I believe, that exercising in the day is far much better than in the night.

That would be over-training with no real benefit. You would loss more muscle mass that way even though you feel you've lost more weight. You need more muscle in order to effectively burn fat. Over-traning is detrimental to weight loss.

Why don't you just exercise 5 days a week for an hour each and eat sensibly?

Yes but it depends on the amount of sweat you put out. Because its colder at nights and you don't sweat as much. Losing weight means losing a lot of sweat and exercise vigorously. If you just exercise for the heck of it, it doesn't matter what time of day you exercise. But if your objective it to lose more weight, I would suggest a day-time schedule than evening.

well, there are some studies that show a slight increase in weight loss in people that exercise in the morning because it raises the metabolic rate for several hours after exercise and test subjects burned more calories as a daily total over people who exercised in the evening.
that being said If it is convenient for you to exercise in the evening and you can do it more consistently on that schedule .....stick with it.It is better to exercise regularly in the evening than sporadically in the daytime or morning.

In the morning you are ready to go...at night...after all the work and the stress of the day...you may not feel motivated to workout.
