Yes and no. The new school needs some information -- some of it can be unofficial, but some of it must be official. So, you may want to provide as much information as you can -- which can help them work up a schedule/register you for classes. But generally, they will need official documentation directly from the other school -- transcripts, etc. -- before your enrollment will be complete.

go to the registration department and get a transfer form also contact the new school and ask them what ou specifically need to do to make the transfer effective.. but usually it begins by letting the new school know of your intentions filling out their application, getting a decision and then fill out the transfer packet from the old school. I believe that would be acceptable, you'd have to check with the counselors at both schools though.
