If I was you I would wait at least 5-6weeks. You got to understand you have gone through a lot and so has your body. If you gave naturally then you could still be very tender inside and may hurt yourself again if you do try and have sex to early. Rather wait till your check up and see how they say you are healing and feeling. You might want sex but you dont want to try to early and then be set back another 5 weeks. Just give yourself some time.

6 week minimum usually. The Dr. will examine and determine at the 6 week mark. That's the medical response. The female half will determine when she's ready, beyond that 6 week mark. Some women need more time to heal, be it physically or emotionally. Be supportive of each other and remember, you can stay intimate and close w/out having sex :)

You cannot have sex for at least 6 weeks. Your doctor should have you come in at 6 weeks post delivery and check you and he will tell you at that point if it is ok to start having sex again. I hope this helps. GOOD LUCK

I'm sure there are some folk out there who have gone ahead that very night, but ewwww
Raw and sore and bleedy down there.
2 weeks or thereabouts till things start to heal
Gotta give it more time for any tears or cuts to heal WELL
After the 6wk check up is a sensible plan.

It is best to allow the womb to heal even after six weeks of check up.The womb is said to be tender and fragile after birth,so give and take 2-3months is what i expect all couples to take.Healing is a gradual process esp when internal.Oral sex would do u good till then.

They recommend 6 weeks, but if the female feels ready and she doesn't have any stiches or tears you can after she has stopped bleeding, usually after 3 weeks. Although gentle not rough, the woman will know when shes ready. Birth control is recommended though, even if she is breastfeeding:)

Well, as youv'e just had your child....I would say 1-2 weeks, because you need to recover and look after the baby and then you need to try and settle doen and understand you have a littleone then have sex as often as you want!

I waited 3 weeks. I don't think the problem is so much safe as comfortable.
