I'm a selfish little ----, I guess. It bothers me to no end when my boyfriend calls me at 3 and 4 in the morning wanting to talk after just getting out with his friends. Yet the times he thought I came home too late(12 am)...he was a little irritated and thought it was too late.
Like tonight, he went out with his friends. Calls me at 12 am. I'm currently working on an English paper, but tomorrow is a full day for me. I work full time and I go to school full time. You know tomorrow we wont be able to talk, so why call me at 12 and you know you have work too, so we wont even talk for that damn long(we are in a long distance relationship!!!) and expect me to talk and then when I tell you that I'm busy, you get disappointed.

I know how you feel. It's something I think all couples go through until they learn how to work it out. It sounds like you guys haven't been going out for too long. I think maybe (since you said you guys are in a long distance relationship) that he wants to go out with his friends so he won't be lonely, but he also wants to talk to you at the end of the day. Couples are like that, especially when they really like each other. They like to talk on the phone right before they go to bed. Sometimes hearing their voice right before you go to bed is soothing. But yes, I understand what you mean about him calling too late when you have stuff to do the next day. Try explaining that to him. Ask him to call you early on nights like this when you're gonna have a busy day the next day. Hopefully you'll get through to him.
And to answer your first question....yes, I expect my boyfriend home at a certain time. Like when he gets off of work and he's not planning on going anywhere, I expect him to be home within thirty minutes and after that, I get worried because he doesn't have a cellphone so there's no way I can get up with him.

You need to put your foot down and tell him not to call after 11 (or whatever time you choose), if he can't be bothered before then he simply doesn't get to talk to you and thats that. Tell him if he wants you to keep answering his calls at descent hours he'll have to stop calling at ridiculous ones. Tell him he will leave you no choice but to change your darn number if he doesn't knock it off. You teach people how to treat you and although it irritates you the phone is still answered and you talk to him, if he called that late i would have nothing to say but 'are you dead or dying?' if he says no you hang up and turn the ringer off. He's not going to quit doing it until you quit putting up with it.

I know exactly how you feel! me and my boyfriend went threw the same problem. Talk to him about it. Once my man knew how I felt he changed his ways. I also learned if your tired and want to sleep the whole night shut your phone off (if he is calling your cell, and take your phone off the hook it ifs a home phone) and if he asked why just say because you were tired and he should of called at a decent hour. I hope everything works out for you.

I think that he is being selfish & need to make time for you when it's right for you, at least sometime, cause look at what you have on your plate, he should be more considerate and not stay out so late, talk to him about how you feel, if no change, drop him and keep a rolling.

tell him to stop being a whining needy control freak. set up boundries such as no calling after a certain time unless you are in jail or hospital. you are an adult, you should be able to stay out as long as you want. you said you are in a long distance relationship; don't tell him everything he does not need to know

A little selfish, yes. You may want to tell him that you can't answer calls that late when you have to work, you don't want to get fired.

the stores are closed at that hr. so what is really going on. i know his male friends arent that interesting. let him go. if you two are long distance do you know he is really with his friends. he is stringing you along. so keep doing what you are doing and that is work and school. and drop that bad habit.

tell him to kiss your a** and you'll stay out as long as you want to. you have the right to do what you want to do and don't let him control you. if he gets angry then that's just too bad for him.
