I used to be a fundamentalist and was glad to see tragedy in the world because I thought that the end was near and people suffered because of their sin and that they deserved it.....When I really found the true and living God and discovered Christ through personal meditation, I eventually left the church and now I realize how corrupt that attitude is and it breaks my heart to see the world in the state that it is in.....So yes, I can say that they do play into it.

NO WAY! true Christians know that no man knows the day nor the hour. The Bible is clear about this. Shia Muslims, however, believe the Mahdi will appear when the world is in utter chaos. Tht is why Iran and Syria are causing problems. They think they can hurry along the appearance of the Imam Mahdi. What's creepy is tht when you read about the Mahdi, he very much is described like the antichrist of the Bible.

There is a small sect of christianity that is actually for environmental control. Most other sects believe the earth was put here to do with as we please "since we won't be around much longer" so using up all natural resources isn't an issue (see current Bush Administration).

I know that many of us pray that Jesus will return quickly. And believe that if we prepare ourselves to be more unified among ourselves that it will hasten the day.

Also there are many projects to bring the gospel to the far corners of the globe because the Bible says that all peoples have to hear the gospel message before the end can come.

yup, they are definitely trying to bring about the rapture and the Ends of Times. If they succeed in bringing about the End of Times then all multiplications tables will collapse and the scientific heathens will not be able to formulate any more blasphemous statements of reality.
