i'm not sure how i feel about having another baby. well, that's a given because i have a 6 month old. how long did you wait before having more and being ready for it? what is a good amount of time to wait before a second child when it comes to finances? i think i would like my daughter to have a sibling, not in the near near future, but when should i start seriously thinking about this?

well when you feel right about having number 2 than do it.
cash wise its not gonna be easier unless you wait until the first has left home...lol.
my personal choice and my partners was to have them close and now we have 2 boys 11 months apart and they might tiff at times but they are the closest of friends even at the tender age of 1 1/1 and 2 1/2.....like i said, whenever you feel ready.

With the first one you NEVER really feel like the time is right b/c you worry about the first one so much and the first one wears you out . HOWEVER the 2nd one is a piece of cake. The third will kill you. BUT about 2 1/2 -3 yrs between lets them be close enough to grow up together but still allows the older to have their chance to be the only baby for a while.

One thing NOT to worry about when considering having a baby: finances! You just make it work.
I made a point to have kids about two years apart, just because they have someone to play with when they get older. My two youngest are the best of friends, finishing each others' sentences and singing songs that they make up. My husband and I often say that they are twins who were born two years apart.

maybe you would want to wait till yr daughter is about 3 then consider to have the second one. it would be very taxing on both parents should yr second come too fast. well, you can always start now discussing it with yr hubby about when having another baby.

you should wait 5 years between siblings. this way, you can give your first child all the time and attention she needs. 5 years span produces the healthiest second-borns. because we didn't use day care and we homeschool, the age difference has not impeded our kids' relationship.
