Visit an adult bookstore and ask if there are any places for young men to hang out together. The clerk working there might know of some places.
If you are near a college campus, go there and walk around and try to find some places where you think you might find some like-minded young men.
Outside of that, I don't have any other tips.

Watch the person's to whom you are speaking with. In most cases if the person looks at your eyes and speak then the person is straight. But there always some exceptions.

if he sounds sisy---gay
if he doesn't ever say some girl is hot---gay
if he tells you how handsome you look today---gay
that's all i can think of, but not all of them are like that, some you just can never tell---they could be as well on the football team and be gay

Guys who love clothes shopping, or going to gay bars are gay. Or if they start looking uncomfortable around a good looking guy and have to adjust their pants. lol. That'd be a sign. If a guy has to adjust his pants around a sexy girl, then he ain't gay.
