c'mon, people. If this relationship has been going on for 7 years, and the other person still wants it, he is NOT going to take it gently.
I say cheat and try to get caught. And then become psycho.

It is best to be honest. Tell him the truth. Some people are unable to end the relationship before they begin a new one. Don't make this mistake. It is best to end it and move on. The truth shall set you FREE.

break it to them gently make it in a nice soothing place where they wont make a scene and then tell them that u think that u both need a break form the relationship

sit them down and tell them face to face that things aren't working for you any more and you want to see if it is you and if their are any other fish out there that fit the way you are more than they do and remember you want to stay friends good luck
