Since you didn't include your skin tone or eye color this is difficult. I would suggest a nice caramel, maybe a reddish tint even, depending on eye colors and skin tone. I would not use a henna color because the color cannot be colored over if you don't like it. You have to wait for a henna color to grow out and be cut off. If you still are unsure, go to your stylist and have it professionally done the first time. You may be able to maintain your highlights on your own after you know what colors and where to place them. I would go with some strawberry blonde highlights and a few medium blonde streaks near the front. It will blend nicely with the darker shade that you chose and add brightness to your face.

A light reddish brown is always good. Plus you could use henna from Sally's and it won't damage your hair because it's natural.
