I think you need to change your expectations.

Geeks can turn out to be better dates, more caring boyfriends and more interesting in bed. Most people are quirky in one way or another, and these quirks can become endearing.

Why do you want "actual guys" to like you? Machismo is rather overrated. If a guy has to emphasize his manliness, how secure is he with who he is? If a guy defines himself by his sexuality, that seems kind of shallow.

Is some elses popularity really the most important thing while dating. Having a "trophy boyfriend" doesn't make a satisfying relationship. I really think this may have more with your own self-esteem than actually dating.

you should stop being snobby and judging people by what others think of them and stop setting social standards on people and look on the inside.

i have the same problem and i have no clue how to get rid of it. and i hope someone else can cuz i cannot get rid of it. none of the guys i ever like like me. i try to wear less geeky clothes but ti still doesnt work. it might work for you but idk. hope u find better results than i did.
