Often this sort of thing could happen just by your eyes not being adjusted after an abrup awkening...however, thsi sort of thing did happen in a home that we lived in growing up. We did move before anything ever really got resloved...not that it was a problem, we just moved because of financial problems.
Try to keep a mental note of the "goings on" in your home and see if anything is outta the ordinary. If it seems to continue, consider asking a catholic preist to come in and bless your home...it may cost you some monetray donation from to the church, especially if you do not attend, but Ill bet it does a lot.
Everytime we move we have the new house blessed, and then once a year at Easter. I also keep holy water within the home...not for VAMPIRE purposes but just for the fact that sometimes uninvited "things" can attempt to enter a home and it makes me feel better knowing that its there. Piece of mind maybe, but then again, I'd rather have that than a gun to try to get rid of a ghost.
You may want to do some research on the area of your home or its history, and also ask others who live there if they may have expeirenced anything outta the ordinary.
Bare in mind that your mind is a powerful weapon, and you may cause yourself to belive that you are seeing things that are not there while you are in this "paranoid" mindset.

It could have been a realistic dream. I have woken up and saw people looking at me or just standing in my doorway for no reason. Most of the time I know I am sleeping because I can't move due to being still in REM or something. Never believe it is real if is happens in the morning, particularly if you fall back asleep. Now if it happens in the middle of the day then I would worry, or think differently.

I believe you. I had a funny experience a couple of weeks ago. I just turn out the light to go to sleep. not long after I felt like something heavy was on top of me when I open my eyes, I could see like this white sparkle lights on top of me.

You had a very common experience called by psychologists a "waking dream". Think nothing of it. It's normal, although many people never have that experience - or they've forgotten it, knowing it for what it was. No, ya ain't seeing no ghost!

Don't be alarmed. That was just a spirit visiting you. Probly trying to give you a message. or something. Yes they do exist. They won't hurt you ..But takes a while to get used to them.
