My in-laws up hold my husbands bad behavior, whe I talk to them about him they justify his behavior by saying, it's ok, he shoudl be allowed to do this or that. Example, every year he wants to throw this big party, that we really can not afford, it is the same time that school starts, and our daughter needs school cloths as well as school fees paid. He insist on having it, and there response is, oh well it is once a year, and why not. When he is not paying for basic necessities at the house like toilet paper, soap ets, they buy it for us. I think that they enable him, it is so disgusting. I have decided not to deal with them at all.

Some men never grow up.....I guess you will always wear the pants in your family....Sounds like you are the only one that is responsible.....Tell him to have his ole party, but give you money to buy what your daughter needs FIRST..../Or.....He should have all his buddies chip in for the bash and not leave it up to him to foot the bill..Try not to say anything about or against him in front of his family anymore, you just won't win........The more you complain, the more they'll side with him.......Good luck and God Bless You!

you have done the right thing by not dealing with them but have you tried to go to your husband about your concerns if so and he insists then he really doesnt care about your feelings and you need to leave him if not try to go to him with your concerns and if he loves you as much as he says he does then he will respect your wishes. however if your daughter doesnt live with you and is in college then she needs to get a job and pay for some of her own stuff i can see you want your child to have her education and everything she needs to become somebody in life but if she wants this too she needs to help pay for her books and stuff because if you keep helping her along then she is going to think she can rely on you all the time and then she is never going to learn how to live and thrive on her own
