In the U.S. we drink it cold (and I love it!). In Ireland, I understand you drink it room temperature. Is it more flavorful at room temperature?

Oh, I love the suggestion of the black currant juice, that sounds wonderful!

Actually, it's not "room" temperature, but is served at what is called "Cellar temperature". This is about 12 celcius, which is warmer than the 2-5 celcius that beer stored in the fridge is, but is definately not room temperature.

Guiness is an extremely solid tasting beer (stout) with a deep bitter end. in case you desire to ease up on that, attempt a black and tan first. The Harps will frequently upload a lighter flavor to the Guinness to make it much less stressful to drink. in case you rather like the B&T, then you certainly can flow to the without delay Guinness. although, Guinness in eire tastes plenty, plenty, plenty extra useful than interior the States.

I used to love room temperature until they started doing Extra Cold, now that is favourite! Even better to add a bit of blackcurrant juice - takes the slightly bitter edge off the Guiness and tastes gorgeous. Try it!

Guinness should be served at a perfect cellar temp of 13 oC. Guinness Extra Cold as it is known in the UK is served at 3-5oC

I enjoyed it in Dublin. Room temperature in Ireland is cooler than in California.

Beer like cheese takes on a different texture and flavor at different temperatures. Try it, I myself don't like it that way.

try Murpheys, that is a lot better than Guinness,
now in pubs you can buy Guinness at 2 different temperatures out of the pump,
if i can't buy Murpheys in a pub i will buy Guinness extra cold
