I live in the south. I was wondering about food from the grocery stores in general, just a mix of brand name, store brand, meats, produce, etc. Some people say it costs about as much for one person to eat as it does for two, I guess because you still have to buy a whole can of something anyway, and if you buy milk, maybe it ruins before one person can consume it all. I don't know, I'm just guessing about the reason they say that. I'm sure it is somewhat less for one person than two.

This is not including household goods, and bathroom items, like laundry detergent, toilet paper, etc. , although I would like to know that, too. Just everything on average, no scrimping, but no caviar and champagne either.

Please let me know if you are just guessing or if you have figured it up before, or if you got your information from a survey report or anything
