If it's your child, you are legally bound to support it. There has to be a good reason why your rights were revoked.

Yes in the United States you do (child has to eat, have clothes etc), but my question would be why don't you have any rights to see the child??? Was it something you did or is just the mother saying this. The only person who can take your rights away is the courts. If they aren't the ones who made this judgment, I would march right into court for visitation rights. No judge would deny you unless there is a really very good reason.
Good Luck :-)

Custody and visitation are totaly two diffrent issues from child support..Yes if you are the father you have to pay child support, If you want rights to the child you need to file the proper paperwork and take the mother to court

Yes you do. The only way you could get out of paying child support is if you signed over all parental rights to your child which would basically nullify any parental obligations. That would be a pretty crappy thing to do though and would be like you didn't care about your child which I hope isn't true.

Yes unfortunely...My husband is in the same boat he hasn't seen his 2 daughters from another relationship in 2 years...They had just turned 2 and 3 when we last seen them and now they are 4 and 5 they think her husband is there daddy but he still is stuck paying 700 dollars a month in child support...And she did this all over b/c I had his son... Every time he goes to court they won't give him visitation...hopefully it's different for you try and fight to see them you might win...

Sorry Child support has nothing to do with you seeing your children. Pay your child support you jerk. They are your kids not the tax payers. What did you do wrong so the judge ordered you couldn't see your kids. Have you ever hear of supervised visitation? Why don't you ask the judge if you really care.

You know I'm in the same boat and it really SUCKS!!!!! Ipay support for my son who I haven't seen in almost 3 years, and his father is in prison. He is living with his wife, and we hate each other so she said i can't see him until his father gets out with we found out he got 16 years not the 8 we thought before. I have an attorney and an filing custody but until we go to court i still have to pay. It's hard with no job and raising other children, what makes it worse is not being able to see him. GOOD LUCK!!

if you have signed away your rights, you signed them away- no child support, no contacts at all. that has to be asked by one parent and agreed by the other. if you have no custody rights and no visitation, that's different. you have to pay, that usually means you did something very bad to the child.? you should have a lawyer to be asking all these questions to, what's up?

I think that in most states you still have to pay child support. Child support is not something you give the other parent for the right to see your child(ren), it is something that is supposed to help pay for things the child(ren) need(s). This can cover anything from rent to clothes to lunch money. HTH.

If you were ordered to pay child support, then yes.
If you were not ordered to pay child support, then no.
Kind of a weird question.

Sadly yes in some states,
See what I would do is pay her off in one large sum like 150 or what ever your state takes from you a month for 16 years it would end up being like 28k then you know blow it on a new car or something the have to suffer for the rest of the time
