Today, I bid a fond farewell to Yahoo Answers people. I will not open it again. Yahoo Answers has provided me with an ability to share my vast experiences and educational knowledge, being able to help others. But life is too short for me to have to put up with an individual who has taken all my pleasures away, simply because I have a high education and am a professor in a Chinese university.
This person also sent me an e-mail and wrote horrible things about my mother, who passed away in 2002. She was a wonderful Christian woman who loved life and helped others.
I have been receiving treatment for liver cancer; this has left me with very little to do, except enjoy Yahoo Answers. But my life is truly too short to have to put up any individual and his crazy tees.
He has lost to me, although I was merely competing with myself. For some ungodly reason, he thought his meanness and smirks at others was cute, telling foreigners to learn English, while he can barely speak English.

People say stupid things sometimes, as a game. It is very likely this person knew nothing about your mother, how could they? This is a mostly anonymous place unless you have provided info about yourself in a 360 thing or provide a blog address or something.
If this is giving you pleasure to be here, for heaven's sake stay. Block that person's address from your email if you can, report them to Yahoo and stay. Don't let some faceless idiot take away something you enjoy.
To answer your question: not all goodbyes are sad if they are beginning of something good...

Goodbye. I am sorry for your nemesis and for you. My suggestion is to create a new id and do not enable email - that way he can only taunt you in the community and not privately. I'd bet he's way too lame to do that well enough to bother you.

Not all goodbyes are bad and I am truly sorry you had to deal with an ignorant @ss like that, there are alot of them and especially on yahoo, sadly we cant get away from them, they are like viruses..you can fight them all they want but they are very resiliant.
