I used to have the EXACT 100% same dreams. At the same time, I was deadly afraid of tornadoes. At the time I was also young. As I grew up, I became less and less afraid of them. Through out this time of becoming less afriad of them my dreams became more funny so to speak... lol They soon became where there was a tornado in random places and then it would turn into other things and sometimes talk to me crazy things and then run away from me. I think you just have a free of tornadoes. Dreams is your self concious working through it's problems, so your dreams are probably working through your fear of tornadoes. I don't know how I got over my fear but I did, and the dreams have stopped. I know that I still am afraid of them, but on the same level as every normal human being. My opinion is too relize a fear (as the tornado maybe a metaphor for something else, only you can figure out what that is) and somehow work through it. Not neccessaraly get over it completely, but work through it so that you don't have dreams about it all the time and that it isn't on your mind, and the dreams should subside, or become animated and funny like mine did ;) lol.

So did I when I was younger. I thought it was unique.

The best part of it is that if you watch them enough...you will gradually be able to watch the whole dream...and with a little effort you will be able to change the ending. Just in the past couple of years, I have helped others hide...and survived through the storm...and walked out to see the sun shine...

I always figured it was because I was raised in the midwest when I was young and there were alot of tornadoes.

Eitherway....over time...you will win. Just let the dreams flow and don't be afraid. I don't think they mean anything...it is just a fear that you need to overcome in your mind.

To see a tornado in your dream, suggests that you are experiencing some extreme emotional outbursts and temper tantrums. Is there a situation or relationship in your life that may be potentially destructive?
To dream that you are in a tornado, signifies that you are feeling overwhelmed and out of control. You will be met with a series of disappointments for the next week or so. Your plans will be filled with complications.

To see several tornadoes in your dream, represent people around you who are prone to violent outbursts and shifting mood swings. It may also symbolize a volatile situation or relationship
It is important to note that houses in dreams are often metaphors for the self and the psyche. In your dream where the walls of the houses are blown down suggest tremendous stress and personal changes that are going on in your life. You literally feel that your life is crumbling down on you and that you have no one to turn to. In addition, you may have let your guard down and allowed yourself to be vulnerable.

The coming of the storm/tornado further reiterates the turmoil that is occurring in your waking life. A relationship or situation is eating away at you and potentially dangerous to your well-being. Storms are also representative of unexpressed fears, anger, and other emotions that you have kept hidden inside.

In dreams, sometimes it is not so important what happens in your dream but how your FEEL during the dream. Many times in our waking life, we prevent ourselves from feeling a certain way. However, dreams serve as a "safe" outlet to express those emotions in which we keep inside.

If you don't live by the tornado area or seen twister the movie, it could mean

tornado = problems, changes, difficulties
chased = criticized, disciplined

It could mean you have encountered some pressure in life and you are trying to avoid from it. Running away from tornado could aslo mean running away from responsiblities.

all of the above...or, if you have been in a bad storm recently, or are just scared of storms, it could be a bit of phobia--had them for a month or so after our house was hit by a tornado
