If you want to answer this question, please take a moment to reflect upon your personal sex life (even if you are flying solo) and tell us something honest and interesting that you have experienced, along with any bits of wisdom you may have learned, or maybe an amusing story. My goal is to see if anyone is willing to think more deeply, creatively, and soulfully about sexuality than we ordinarily do. Break out of your box. Trade in the shallow one-line sit-com humor for something with a bit of substance. Maybe try to think of an experience that was especially intense, joyful, enlightening, comical, or emotionally powerful in some way, then open up and tell us the story. You are anonymous here, so why not spill the beans? (Oh, and try not to be too stingy with the juicy details ;-)
I will offer my own example before the question expires, but first I want to hear what ya’ll have to say…if anything.

bats_fanfilm: You seem to be caught in a negative feedback loop – confirming your depressing view by displaying your negative self-image, which turns people off. I may be able to help. You are welcome to send me an email, if you would like to talk.

Player: That is a great story! The Second Coming is an old joke, of course, and it has a sort of timeless appeal. However, I’ve never heard of anyone cracking up in the middle of sex on account of it. That’s entertainment. A lot of people get deeply offended, or feel like they’ve committed some profound sacrilege by even considering the concept of Jesus having an orgasm. I consider myself Pagan, and one thing I appreciate about Pagans is that they are not afraid to acknowledge the erotic aspects of divinity. Some Christians will say that erotic desire (in the context of marriage) is a gift from God. They don’t seem to consider the logical implication that God can only give a gift if it is initially His to give. If God is the source of erotic desire, then God is an erotic being.

Anoldmick: I guess from your point of view, I must plead guilt to being a deranged psychopath. But I have to wonder, are these really my only options? Consider this possibility: I believe that someone can be a mature, emotionally well-balanced, intelligent, individual and nevertheless have a healthy fascination for erotic energy, and curiosity about the sexual lives of other people. I believe this is true because I believe that erotic desire is wonderful, and is ultimately rooted in a deeply erotic aspect of the Source of Being. Since I do not believe that sex is sinful, shameful, embarrassing, or corrupt, I have no sense of shame in talking about it.

I am annoyed by the constant social pressure to keep sex in the dark – to repress it and keep in out of sight. The result of this pressure is that erotic energy pops out in pathological ways. Few people can talk with genuine honesty about sex – what we get instead is a perpetually adolescent obsession with the shallow, surface-level reality; a sort of sit-com sexuality. I’m not suggesting that we always need to ponder sexuality in some deep, serious mood – on the contrary, I think too many people have lost the capacity to be comfortable with their sexuality, so they tend to be up-tight and unable to truly enjoy the simple FUN of being the sort of erotic beings that we are. Sex can be serious and romantic, but it should also sometimes be light, fun, and even deliciously naughty while still being soulful and genuine.

Biscuit: Well…I would say that masturbation and wet dreams count as sexual experiences, so if you really wanted to contribute, you could say something about how these sorts of things have affected your life. A small example from my life: When I first started having wet dreams, I had no idea what they were. I thought something was wrong – sorta like I was peeing my pants, but of course not quite the same…more mysterious. I was too embarrassed to ask about it, so I just dealt with it as best as I could. I tried folding some facial tissue over my penis and holding it in place with a rubber band when I went to bed (thinking it would keep me from having that annoying mess in my pajamas). Of course it never worked. The tissue would slip off during the night and I would end up with a mess anyways. It took many months before I discovered that I could make “that stuff” come out on purpose. I would lay on my belly then rock and wiggle, causing a very pleasant friction :-)

Ok, here is a small example from my own life: One weekend my wife and I got a room in a small bed & breakfast. As luck would have it, we were the only guests that weekend, and we discovered that all of the rooms in the house were open. (The owners lived in a house next door.) So I took a Viagra and we had sex for a major portion of the evening – hopping from one room to the next (don’t worry, we didn’t use the beds or leave any sort of mess, except in our own room ;-) What made this particularly memorable was the sense of adventure and naughtiness of our activities. (Later in the evening my wife went downstairs mostly naked to get a glass of water. Upon entering the kitchen she discovered the owners were there! She yelped and ran back upstairs :-) To be continued…

Now this experience at the bed & breakfast may not seem “spiritual” in any traditional sense, but I would say that it did have a spiritual aspect for me. The beautiful environment of the old house, the prolonged nature of the erotic play and sex throughout the evening, and the sense of liberation that came with having this whole space (which was not our home) as a sexual playground was amazing. It seemed to me like I had an opportunity to experience what our sensual lives should really be like – a sense of openness and the freedom to be ourselves and explore at least a bit of the vastness of our erotic potential.

I might get this deleted for it having sexual content. But while I was doing the dirty with a girl she told me to "c*m". I for whatever reason started thinking of Jesus's second coming, no joke. It started making me laugh so hard, I couldn't stop. She pushed me off of her, and put on her clothes and left. Completely true story, though I was younger at the time it took place.

Well i don't have a funny storie to tell but it's a storie none the less. OK so I'm a very sexual person and enjoy pretty much everything. So a while ago I had this thing what a french guy to remain UN named and we were great together. The only things we could do around each other were dirty, (not sure why, it just always ended up that way). he'd come over for 3 or 4 hours and that's all we would do.l So any way one time right before i c*m he starts telling me to look at him, so I'm like ok whatever, right. But no it was so weird. I have never c*m so hard in my life. By the end of it i was sitting on top of him shaking. It was soooo amazing.

I have less than nothing happening for me. I really don't want to hate women for acknowleging the fact that I'm a great guy and am "going to make some girl very happy one day" but then not want to have ANYTHING to do with me at all, but no woman I know wants to stop me.
Everything I have is cybering. Depressing, isn't it?

Now, I can hardly imagine a topic I'd be less likely to discuss with you! Only a very young, very foolish adolescent - or a deranged psychopath - would ask such a thing. Mind your own business!
