can't believe you're asking. We have all seen fags on screen in the movies,at the record store, walking around acting very gay, sounding like a teenage girl on her way to get her nails done. If you can't spot them a mile away you're blind and deaf. Girly man

Firstly, effeminate is an adjective and not a noun as you all so daftly proclaim (you may call me Net Nanny). To me the word means "having exaggerated female characteristics or mannerisms" We (people of the homophilic persuasion) call such men or boys "femme" - a derivative of your word.

A man (usually) that exaggerates female movements and voice that it is like a caricature of how a woman is. I rarely see women who act or talk like this.
