Because people like them are not looking into what needs to be seen, they see what they want to have. And the people fallow just along their side. The people of the United States of America are getting BRAIN WASHED! LITERALY! They always agree with what they are told, even if its a lie and they know it. If the presedent said it, it must be true!
I SUPORT IT!!! And it's true even democrats do that too. I just think Democrats have better goals set for them and their country. I AM A LIBERAL FEAR ME LOL. I live in MASSACHUSETTS Home of the "LIBERAL FREAKS!!!".

John, you aren't going to change any minds here. I agree with you, though. I have no problem with making a living and keeping all you can, but there are also social responsibilities a nation should adopt. Republicans are so eager to lower taxes, but they don't say how the infrastructure should be kept up or improved without a tax base to support it. We can spend billions on a war of aggression, but we can't keep the libraries open, or provide them with enough current books. (I think we should get out of Iraq and use the money we are spending there to provide health insurance for people.) Bridges are falling down around our ears, but our gluttony for oil is more important. Teachers pay is woefully low, but not to worry, ExxonMobil and the like are recording record profits. People can't afford to pay rent and buy groceries for the month, but the CEO's are doing great.
The only way trickle down theory works is this:
It trickles from the shirt pocket to the pants pocket. It never leaves the one holding the cash.

Then why do such a large number of poor people vote republican. They can't be winning elections without them, or at least a huge portion of the middle class. To buy your statements, you imply that 50 percent of the voting public is either utterly duped or rich AND greedy. Not possible.
Republicans are about individuality and freedom from government controls--especially in monetary matters. They believe that when tax cuts go to those who hire workers, it puts money into the hands of workers naturally without the use of government programs which don't really add anything to the overall economy of the country.
And by the way--before you call me a republican, I'm not. I'm independent. I just can't stand incomplete explanations of something so important.

Wow what a question? Your an obvious democrat who probably loved Bill Clinton and didn't really care about Somalia, Iraq or wmd's. You just don't want to pay for it. To heck with the freedom of others or the invasion of terrorism, cause well we needed to save money. But it is okay to pay for the murder of innocent children and Boxer and Feinstein well if that don't make your afraid to be a democrat or even human being for that matter I guess nothing will. Let me ask you this if we were there for the oil why didn't we just take it. No wmd's then what was that is all the satellite pics?

If the Republicans are "out for the money", why to the dems want to raise taxes or at least, not lower them? Some people make more money than others, it's called life, deal with it. Also, why are the more democrat millionaires in congress than republicans? Hmmmm, who's really "out for the money"?

I don't know if its all Republican though. As a Democrat, I see plenty of negative things about our people, too. Granted, it does seem that the rich get richer when a Republican is in office, but I think there is instability on both sides of the fence.

Spoken like a true loser...get a better job, make more money. Then come to me and attack republican tax cuts. What is wrong with making what you are worth keeping what you make and striving for more ...not a handout.?

Why did you ask the same question twice? Anyway here is my answer AGAIN since you were too stupid to understand it the first time. Go to college, take Econ 101. If you have already done this take it again you did not learn anything the first time.

Same answer as your other question. The goal is to post your question once. I know Democrats are used to double dipping, but this is crazy. One question & then try to make the 2nd question a different one.
