Caravans are the ultimate freight dog. FedEx and UPS are forever trying to push just one more box into the back of the airplane, and they'd make the pilot carry stuff on his lap if they could still close the doors and get the airplane off the ground. Add a few hard landings, and you're asking for trouble!

Well, that would make complete sense, actually. Frequent overloading + corrosion = Whoops!
