This is called triangulation. Happens all the time.
Person A is mad at person B, so she takes it out on person C instead, because that is the easiest way to express the anger and have it not turn into a big fight right away.

don't feel bad that iz what men do the forget things like my boyfriend forgot our anniversary 2 i got so mad i had 2 go over my friend house but u r not 2 feel bad he needs 2 think about other people but him self do not feel bad

is he busy? is that why he forgot it??
idk man, your mom shouldn't be mad bc half of the married men forget a birthday or anniversary, every once in awhile...
maybe talk to your mom about it, and find out why she thinks you were wrong....
and explain to her your reason for telling him...

you weren't wrong for letting your dad kno.w...but perhaps it would have been better if your mum hadn't found out you "had to remind him"......us mums are a funny bunch, we are always putting our loved ones to the test and always live in hope they don't forget important dates as we almost never do.
