If she recovers from whatever illness she had, she should lay again -- most chickens do. Also, it is normal for a chicken to stop laying periodically, especially when they moult. Then their energy goes into growing new feathers. After that, they usually lay again. They might not lay as well as in the first year, which is why commercial hatcheries slaughter as soon as they go into their first moult. But for a pet chicken, if you let her live out her normal lifespan, (8-10 years) she will lay eggs for most of her life.

Chickens normally stop laying when sick, in very hot weather, and during the winter. They may also slow down or stop when they molt, which often starts around this time of year. Unless she's seriously ill, she should start laying again when she's feeling better and the weather cools down a bit.
