Well there are many things you can do!
1st) Visit a professional! A psychologist (feelings, traumas, thinking over too much) or a neurologist (deeper problems with a root in something biological in the brain) will help you don't be afraid of them :D Check all the advices including these with them.
2nd) Exercise! All that you want and can. Take your time and find some one to do it with. Don't walk alone.. but if you are afraid of people so much then try first walking in parks and open public spaces.... look at the blue sky, the flowers, the birds and chipmonks, the people laughing, breath the fresh air... Then the gym. It will be good for your general health and also good for auto-esteem.
3rd) See comedies on TV! Let's face it. You may be are expending a lot of time at home. Changing to see TV comedies is a start. Sony, Warner and Fox have very good comedies. I like them all! :D Then think about the jokes about all the tragedies the actors are living (Every body loves Raymond, Friends, etc.)... see if it happens to others is funny! Don't feel selfish because when something odd will happened to you, you would make happy to a lot of people! :D It's true, dark humour lights your life too.
4rd) Love! It is not about only having a couple to be with... It is also in the things you do... do some art, write, sports, clean the house, make a good dinner for your friends, learn jokes and short funny tales for them... fill your life with all the love you have and can give. You can find passion in art, music, every thing. Then it will return to you... ALWAYS do! ;D

If life is suffering... then choose a right reason to suffer for. I've chosen love. When I feel hurt I don't like it of course, I think this life is not OK for good people... but then I think about the good moments I had... those moments where I've literally I've said "I could die now happy" . Living and suffering worth it! This happiness and love that I feel worth it! Just seeing that it happens also to others makes me happy too... because it give me hope that it exists till today and if I loose it I could have another chance.

Sending a big hug! Martin.

I will tell you that PEOPLE are my favorite...thing...in the world XD nothing is cooler than getting to know a person, thinking about what people do and why, loving a person, being loved by another person.

Tell yourself all the good things about people and try to ask yourself why you're really afraid. I used to have some anxiety issues, but I got over it by asking myself what was honestly the worst thing that could happen? The worst thing that could happen is almost always not that bad or not so likely. There are many more things about people to love than to be afraid of. Keep this mind set and take it slow. Try to make one or two new friends and try to feel comfortable with them. The move on to the next, and the next. You'll be fine :) True, there are bad people in the world, but there are also very good people in the world.

I know you don't know me, but I'm always here for moral support. You can e-mail me if you'd like.

Your fear of people may comes from your ngeative experience or negative thoughts during depression. If you are still depression or moody, get rid of the depression first. Taking tyrosine (a component of a amino acid) helps. Meditation helps. Don't take the anti-depression pills the doctor gives because those pills just put you in semi-sleeping state where you can think of nothing. Because you cannot think, you are not depress. All these works for me. If you need more, just drop me a message.

Need to stop tearing yourself down. If you are over the depression, you have a new lease on life.. don't waste it. The alternative is to move to Alaska.. there are many people there who don't like to be around other people.

You need to go to a psychiatrist. You obviously need someone to talk to. Try hypnotism, they say that cures a lot of things.
