We are both adults and of course we practice safe sex.
And neither of us are sure that we want anything long term with each other, we actully never meant to have the "benefits" part..It kinda just played out that way...

And for all you mean spirted people who are quick to judge others, no I am not a hoe, we both are actuallly monogamous.....So, please anyone who wants to be a jerk and make a nasty comment--keep it to yourself or consider yourself reported.

Question pt #2....On the flip side...Men what if you met a woman that you knew was rumored(because who discusses these things openly) to be in a benefit friendship, and you liked her and vice versa, would it bother you ? Would you think less of them? Ladies, same question..If you met a man...etc....

Sounds like two consenting adults agreeing to share each other's bodies. While some of the religious right will banish you, there are those of us who consider physical touch to be very spirtual. Enjoy yourselves with one warning in mind: Don't one of you get too far ahead of the other in the "love" department. Adding the sexual intimacy to the equation will almost certainly result in one of you loving the other in a deeper way. Feelings get hurt when the other party can not reciprocate. :-)

Friends with benefits got me through college nicely.
It's an awful lot safer than going home with total strangers!

I didn't find it affected the friendships at all. And I didn't find it affected my ability to be monogamous in subsequent relationships either.

A word of caution: eventually one of you will be dating someone else....either keep quiet about the prior friendly benefits or risk the jealousy--some people will never believe it really was just sex.

Go for it, nothing wrong with it. Just watch out that you don't get emotionally attached. I think it works better with someone you wouldn't date in the first place, keeps you from wanting something more.
