i want to ask my mom when i can start dateing, but what if she dosnt let me date till i'm like 20? And it's way 2 emberesing!!!

Sit mom down and tell her you need to have a heart to heart talk about boys with her. Tell her you want to know the age you can start dating (don't worry, i'm sure she expects you to date before 20). At the same time you two can set ground rules (eg: curfew times, where you can go on a date etc...).
If my son did that I wouldn't only be proud of him, but respect him even more for being so mature as to ask my opinions, permission etc... It will build trust between both of you as well and almost guarantee you won't be 20 before you're dating. Very cool hun....wish all teens were as smart as you!!

In the united states, you are legally an adult at 18 and therefor could at least start dating until then.
You should talk to your mom, maybe she'll let you younger than that age.

dont worry just ask yo mom, thats what i did n im 14 gon be 15 n dating, well not currently but in the future(school)yea. n they cool with it, just as long im not doin my things out there + they know im mature n smart so they know i wont screw up + every time i get a girlfriend i tell them...dad gives me a pat, mom laughs so it all good

i think 16 is a good age to date because your mom knows that if you say you are going to the mall with friends you may just be lying so you can go hang out under a bridge with a boy so she should be open with you because if you have to hide it it is going to cause more problems

well how old are you? Just mention it, ask her, it cant her. I did and she was cool with it, I mean if youre like 10 then dont expect a good answer, but if youre a bit older she probably will let you

it depends how open you and your mom are.
if its about something simple like dating, i'd wait until someone asked me and then i'd tell my mom about him and ask her if i could go
